Title: Things Gone By (1/?)
Author: Lexie
Feedback: If you feel so moved.
Characters: Suki
Theme: Lost (from [livejournal.com profile] avatar_500)
Word Count: 101
Rating: G
Genre: AU, Angst
Summary: What if Yue had lived, and gone with Sokka and the others? What would happen to Suki? Drabbles.
Notes: Agh, my first ATLA fic. Originally intended for Challenge #36 at [livejournal.com profile] avatar_500, but I ran out of time. Hopefully, I'll write all four parts, but we'll see - the second part is being difficult.
All parts will be 100 words, which is even more of a challenge XD
Disclaimer: Avatar: The Last Airbender belongs to Nickelodeon. I make no profit from this fan-based venture

One.
Suki never expected to like him as much as she did.

She’d grown up listening to the taunts of the island boys, the scepticism of the elders – the younger generation of warriors would never measure up. The arrogant boy that trailed after the Avatar was just another dissenting voice.

Then he had asked to be taught - she would never have thought him capable of humility. That… that was unexpected. She was worried, for a moment, that he would see the surprise on her face.

In the end, she liked him enough to kiss him good-bye.

And hoped it wasn’t.
